GHS Ranked Best High School by US News & World Report

The U.S. News & World Report ranked data on more than 21,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Schools were awarded gold, silver or bronze medals based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college. Giddings High School was once again awarded one of Texas' best high schools. GHS BETA Banquet

Giddings High School will host a BETA Induction Banquet on Thursday, October 12th for all new and present BETA members and their parents. Banquet will be held in the GHS Cafeteria at 7:00pm.

College Fair Day

GHS will host a College Fair Day on Thursday, September 28th from 9-11:00am in the GHS Gym. GHS will host over 40 colleges at the fair.

PSAT Boot Camp

Giddings High School will be offering a PSAT/SAT Boot Camp on Wednesday, September 27th to prepare students who will be taking the PSAT or SAT Test. The Boot Camp will be held from 9am-3:00pm in the practice gym. The boot camp will be for all students and is free of charge.

Social Media Day

The Giddings ISD is hosting Social Media Day on Thursday, February 23rd.

The purpose of the event is to educate students, staff, parents, and the community on internet safety and security. Our guest speaker, Mark Seguin, will present student assemblies on each campus throughout the day and will speak at a meeting for parents and community members at 6:30 PM at the Giddings High School Cafeteria. The community event is free and childcare will be provided for your school aged children. Door prizes will be provided at the community meeting and students will not be assigned homework for that night. Please RSVP to Giddings High School, at (979) 542-3351, if you will need childcare.

The student assemblies will focus on age appropriate information about cyberbullying, internet safety, and potential consequences for inappropriate use of the internet. The community meeting will focus on steps adults should take to remain safe on the internet as well as how they can help keep their children safe.

Blinn College Dual Credit Presentation

Blinn College representatives will be on campus Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 6pm to discuss dual credit courses for the 2017-18 school year. All parents of current year sophomores and any juniors who have not enrolled in dual credit must attend.
